Membership
RECCONNECT
RecConnect is the online portal for Texas A&M Rec Sports. Members can use RecConnect to register for programs and to renew lockers and memberships. New membership and locker purchases must be done in-person. Individuals with a NetID will login with their NetID. All other users will need to create an account in RecConnect. All other users will need to create an account in RecConnect.
Access RecconnectMEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Current students, including Texas A&M University students enrolled at Texas A&M Galveston and RELLIS who are currently taking Texas A&M courses, as well as Texas A&M affiliates, spouses and dependents, are eligible for Rec Sports memberships. All memberships require a valid, unexpired photo ID at the time of enrollment, such as a driver’s license, passport, military ID, state ID or school/university ID. Memberships provide access to all Rec Sports facilities.
NON-AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Those who do not meet the eligibility requirements for the Texas A&M Rec Sports Affiliate, Student, or Spouse/Dependent memberships are eligible to sign up for a Texas A&M Rec Sports Non-Affiliate Membership. Below is a list of those who are eligible for the Texas A&M Rec Sports Non-Affiliate Membership.

CURRENT STUDENTS
If a student is enrolled in at least 1 credit hour, they are automatically assigned a Fee-Paying Student Membership. The majority of students are charged the Rec Sports Fee in their fee statement. Students should check their Howdy portal to see if they have been charged.
Some students, such as student teachers, those in co-op programs, internships, those enrolled in distance learning programs, and some graduate students may not pay the Rec Sports Fee. Students can check their Howdy portal to see if they have been charged. Non-fee-paying students are eligible for the Continuing Student Membership.
This membership can only be purchased on a semester-by-semester basis.

Blinn team and/or RELLIS students are dual-enrolled at both Blinn/RELLIS and Texas A&M University. Whether a Blinn TEAM student pays the Rec Sports Fee is dependent on the classes that the student is enrolled in. Students should check their Howdy portal to see if they have been charged.
If a student is a part of Blinn TEAM/RELLIS Texas A&M courses and has not been charged the Rec Sports fee, they are eligible for a Continuing Student Membership.

- Texas A&M University Former Students who were not enrolled in the most recent semester are eligible for a Texas A&M Rec Sports Non-Affiliate Membership.
- Full-time Texas A&M Employees are eligible for a Faculty/Staff Membership that can be paid in full or through payroll deduction.

- 9-month position = $56/month (unavailable for new registration February 16 – July 15)
- All new payroll deduction memberships require an initial payment at the time of enrollment.
- 1st – 15th of the month: $42
- 16th – end of the month: $63
- Your monthly deduction is based on your primary position’s paid months per year.
- A minimum of 3 months of deductions will be taken before payroll deduction membership cancellation request will be processed.
- Payroll deduction memberships can be cancelled by completing the Payroll Deduction Stop Enrollment form and emailing it to Angela Cates at acates@tamu.edu
- Part-time Texas A&M Employees are eligible for a Faculty/Staff Membership.

SPOUSES / DEPENDENTS

- Spouses of currently enrolled students are eligible for a Student Spouse Membership
- Must provide proof of marital status (marriage certificate, joint checkbook, or shared insurance, or a Declaration of Informal Marriage Form)
- The student has to be a current member of Texas A&M Rec Sports.
- New memberships must be purchased in person. The student and spouse must both be present at the time of purchase. Renewals can be done in-person (without the student) as long as the student is still an active member.
- This membership is only available on a semester-by-semester basis.

- This membership does not prorate throughout the semester.

- You are eligible for a Faculty/Staff Spouse Membership. If your spouse is a full-time employee or faculty member, you are eligible to use payroll deduction from your spouse’s checks, but you are not required to do so.

- Spouses must come in with their spouse who is a student for a new registration but can come in alone for renewal.
