The Texas A&M sailing team promotes competitive sailing to its members and competes regularly in regattas throughout Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma and Florida. The team holds weekly meetings to discuss techniques, upcoming events and administrative matters, as well as dinghy practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lake Bryan. It competes in the Southeastern Intercollegiate Sailing Association, which includes schools such as the University of Texas, the University of Kansas, Oklahoma State, the University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M Galveston and the University of South Alabama. Students interested in joining are encouraged to contact a team member and come out to the lake to sail.
