The club provides a community for students who want to play golf in a competitive atmosphere at the state and national levels, sanctioned through the National Collegiate Club Golf Association. It also strives to bring together students committed to keeping the history and tradition of the game. The club golf team practices weekly at the Campus Course at Texas A&M and competes in several tournaments each semester.

The club was founded on campus in 2012.
