Rec Sports Reunion

We would like to welcome you back to Aggieland for the Rec Sports Reunion, May 2-3, 2025. Attendees can look forward to reconnecting, hearing updates on our department, and having a great weekend! We have 2 events planned for the weekend and welcome you to join us for either or both!

The fun will kickoff Friday, May 2 with a welcome happy hour at Carney’s Pub & Grill from 6-8pm. This will be an informal gathering welcoming everyone back to College Station. Appetizers and drink tickets will be provided. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase. The venue is open to individuals of all ages, but please note it does primarily operate as a bar.

Saturday, May 3 we will host our baseball tailgate and watch party at the Student Rec Center. The event will begin at noon with lunch followed by a brief presentation sharing what’s new and upcoming for Rec Sports before the game starts. The Aggies will be playing LSU at 2pm. A bar will be provided for the duration of the game.

Rec Sports Tailgates

Thank you to all who attended the 2024 Rec Sports Tailgate! Save the date for the 2025 Tailgate on October 11 before the Aggies take on the Florida Gators. More details to come this summer.

Leave Your Mark on the Walk of Champions

Show your support for Rec Sports and the health and wellbeing of Aggies by purchasing an engraved brick on our Walk of Champions. Your engraved brick, placed in front of the Student Recreation Center, will be a lasting legacy to honor a graduate, remember a loved one, pay tribute to a professor or colleague, or celebrate an academic or professional achievement. Your gift will help support the Department of Recreational Sports provide all Aggies with the programs and facilities to challenge themselves, test their limits, and gain the benefits of leadership development. Join us to promote the values of leadership, fair play, sportsmanship, honesty and integrity. All gifts are tax deductible.

We are currently accepting orders for our Summer 2025 brick installation. Please submit and pay for your brick no later than June 25, 2025. Bricks will be placed in front of the Student Recreation Center prior to the Summer 2025 graduation ceremonies.

Former Students, Staff, and Friends

• 8 x 4 brick: $350

You can also purchase a commemorative keepsake brick for your home, office or a gift for $100. A commemorative brick is an identical 8×4 copy of your brick installed on the Walk of Champions that is shipped to you. Please note that we will only ship commemorative bricks to addresses located in the United States due to shipping costs. Commemorative bricks cannot be purchased without the purchase of an installed brick unless an order has been previously submitted.

How to Order A Brick

Just complete 2 simple steps to order your Walk of Champions brick online.

Step 1: Engraving Form: Complete the online order form (below) which will be used by the engraving team to know how many bricks and what characters you want engraved. Remember to make note of the total amount of your order so that you can proceed easily to online payment in step 2.

Step 2: Payment: You can pay by credit card through the Texas A&M Foundation Online Giving Portal at http://give.am/WalkofChampions. Be sure to enter the correct dollar amount for your order.
