Howdy Aggies! We hope your first week of class is off to a rootin’ tootin’ start. Whether it’s your first or last at Texas A&M, make the most of this semester at the Rec–and we have just the event to get you started.

On Friday, Jan. 31, dust off your boots, grab your friends, and mosey on down to the Rec Roundup, a boot-scootin’ good time at the Student Rec Center from 4-7pm. The fun is Texas-sized, with a scavenger hunt, Rec activity stations, and prizes to be won!

At the Roundup, plan a trip with Outdoor Adventures, learn everything there is to know about Sport Clubs and Fitness & Wellness classes, or test your agility with a Strength & Conditioning course. If you’re up for the challenge, you can even take on Intramural Sports in a Half Court Shot or Long Putt competition. 

If you’re new to Texas A&M this Spring, or simply new to the Rec–you’re in luck! The Rec Roundup is your exclusive opportunity to meet other Aggies, find a new hobby, and snag some new Rec Sports merch. 

On-campus residents in need of weekend plans? Look no further. Step into the Rec’s Wild West on Friday, Jan. 31, and enjoy the variety of activities and programs on display. We reckon you won’t regret it.

“We’re so excited to welcome Aggies, old and new, to the Rec Roundup and kick off the spring semester together,” Assistant Director of Marketing & Communication, Kelly VonDrehle, said. “All of the games, activities, and programs are for all students to find a community and engage with everything the Rec has to offer.”

Even if you’re a Rec Sports regular, come see everything your favorite programs have to offer, from games and challenges to upcoming deals!
