The basketball club was formed as a competitive outlet for basketball players to continue their passion in the sport. The club currently practices twice a week, and plays in the Lone Star Conference as well as the HCSBC Club conference against other universities in the state. Additionally they participate in the NIRSA regional basketball tournaments each year.

The club was started on campus in 2013.
