NIRSA Region IV Flag Football Tournament
Texas A&M University and the Department of Rec Sports are excited to welcome teams from across the country to College Station, Texas for the 2024 NIRSA Region IV Flag Football Tournament!

Hotel Accommodations
Participating teams are welcome to stay wherever they wish in the B/CS area. However, we have negotiated discounted rates at three hotels, and you are encouraged to stay at one of them, should it be within your means. Those hotels are:

- The tournament is open to teams from junior colleges, community colleges, military institutions, and four-year universities.
- Teams of students can sign up for Men’s, Women’s, Coed, or Unified Divisions.
- Unsure if you’re eligible? Please refer to the NIRSA Eligibility Guidelines for more details.
- All required forms – including waiver, code of conduct, and player certification – should be emailed to Emily Schneider at [email protected] AND Carly Herndon at [email protected]. Please copy both Emily and Carly on your email. It is strongly preferred that this email is sent from either a team captain or professional staff representative. It is also preferred that one email is sent that includes all required information for your team.

- First NIRSA Tournament? Completing these forms takes a fair amount of coordination with your teammates. IT WILL TAKE TIME! You’re strongly encouraged to not wait until the due date to compile your required forms.
- Tournament registration closes on IMLeagues at noon on Monday, October 21. All required forms and paperwork are due by noon on Friday, October 25. Any team that has not completed their paperwork by the October 25 deadline will be removed from the tournament on IMLeagues. If extenuating circumstances prevent your team from meeting this deadline, please reach out to Emily or Carly.
- Pool play will begin for most teams on the evening of Friday, November 1, and will continue for most of the day on Saturday, November 2.
- All teams are guaranteed at least three games. Tournament format will be determined by the number of teams that ultimately register.

- Note: The number of games played may change due to a team not showing up or circumstances beyond our control.
- Official game schedules will be published on IMLeagues on or around Monday, October 28.
- Team captains should be prepared to attend a required online captain’s meeting at a date/time TBA during the week leading up to the tournament.
This tournament will follow all rules and guidelines as outlined in the 2023 & 2024 NIRSA Flag and Touch Football Rules Book and Officials’ Manual. Teams are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these rules, especially in the case that their individual campuses use rules variations.
- NIRSA tournaments are made possible by the volunteer time given by professional and student staff in the region and around the country. If you wish to apply to volunteer on staff, please complete the Regional Tournament Staff Application.
- The deadline volunteer staff application deadline is Sunday, September 15.
- In exchange for their time, volunteers typically have all expenses covered for lodging and meals.
- Volunteer staff will be staying at the Hilton College Station, located at 801 University Drive East.
- Flying into College Station’s Easterwood Airport? Give the Hilton’s front desk a call (979) 693-7500) to “schedule” your shuttle before you get on your flight. Once you arrive at the airport, give them another call letting them know you’ve landed and are ready to be picked up.
- NIRSA tournaments are officiated entirely by student officials. If you wish to apply to officiate at the tournament, please complete the NIRSA Regional Official Application.
- The student official application deadline is Monday, October 7, at 5pm.
- All officials selected to work the tournament will receive a $100 stipend. All meals and lodging will also be covered by the tournament host.
- An undetermined number of officials will receive an All-Tournament Official designation. All-Tournament Officials will receive a $200 stipend towards their participation in the National Flag Football Tournament in December.

Men’s, Women’s, and Coed champions will receive a paid entry into the National Flag Football Tournament, to be held in Middleburg, FL on December 16-18.
