Intramural Sports
Each year, more than 13,000 students participate in the intramural program at Texas A&M University. We invite you and your friends to join in!
Rec Sports offers dozens of intramural activities each semester, spanning a wide range of skill levels. Whether you’re a star athlete looking to relive the glory days, seeking to meet new people and make friends, or just in need of a quick one-hour study break to relieve stress each week, Intramural Sports has something for you.
Register for Intramural Sports
Intramural Sports participants often share the numerous benefits they experience, ranging from physical fitness improvements to enhanced social connections and mental well-being. Moreover, engaging in these activities demands less time than expected; each team commitment is approximately an hour per week for most activities. Join the excitement of Intramural Sports at Texas A&M!
Registration, game schedules, and roster management are online through Texas A&M IMLeagues. To play Intramural Sports for the first time, please follow the instructions below:
Play Pass Options
Any individual with an active Rec Sports membership can buy their preferred Intramural Sports Pass. Participation in Intramural Sports requires both the Rec Sports membership and a valid pass; without these, players cannot participate. There are no additional fees for participating in Intramural Sports beyond the Rec Sports membership and the valid pass, meaning there is no extra charge for creating a team.
Unlimited Play Pass:
- Provides access to all leagues, tournaments, and special events for the current semester.
- Participants must adhere to traditional league restrictions (e.g., playing on only one team per league).
- Fall and spring passes cost $25, while summer passes are $5, covering both sessions.
Tournament Pass:
- Grants access to any ONE tournament or special event for the current semester.
- Valid for the entire duration of the chosen tournament, regardless of the number of games or days involved.
Single-Use (24 Hour) Pass:
- Allows participation in any ONE game during the current semester.
- Expires within 24 hours of purchase.
If you decide to upgrade from a Tournament Pass or a Single-Game Pass to an Unlimited Play Pass later, you can do so at any time. The system will automatically charge the price difference for the upgrade.
No refunds will be issued if you purchase a pass and later choose not to join a team.
Work for Intramural Sports
Do you have a passion for working in sports? Intramural Sports employs over 200 students annually, offering positions as referees and scorekeepers. Advancement within our program is achievable through promotions and merit raises. Officials are essential for nearly all intramural team sports, encompassing flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, and cricket. Paid training sessions are conducted in the weeks leading up to the commencement of each respective season. Join Intramural Sports and be part of the dynamic team where your passion for sports meets exciting employment opportunities!
Orientation Meetings
Intramural sports does not accept applications; therefore, please refrain from completing the Rec Sports job application. To become an intramural official, attendance at the orientation meeting for the specific sport of interest is mandatory. Individuals are welcome to participate in multiple orientation sessions, and some officials may secure positions for more than one sport. All orientations are open for drop-ins, and you are encouraged to bring friends along!
