Get ready to hone your skills and test them in one of the most beautiful places in Texas. This course taught throughout the Fall semester is intended to train attendees on Outdoor Leader technical skills, wildland management history, trip leading interpersonal skills and general outdoor living skills. The classroom sessions will meet every Tuesday night starting October 4th from 7pm – 8:30pm.

The course will culminate in a trip to Big Bend National Park where particpants will hike and paddle through the high desert of Far West Texas, a stunning outdoor setting that will test your leadership and outdoor skills.
This is the perfect course to take as a precursor to applying to work as a trip staff member at Outdoor Adventures or for anyone wanting to learn and apply leadership skills in a novel environment.

****Course participants must be able to attend the majority of classroom sessions as well as to attend the trip, pre trip prep and post trip debrief (December 15-23).****
