Fitness Certifications

WERQ® Master Class & Certification

Become a Certified Dance Fitness Professional through WERQ®, a wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on the hottest pop and hip hop music. The master class is FREE and will begin at 9am.

YogaFit Trainings & Workshops

Register for individual certifications/trainings or all to receive your full 200-hour RYT. YogaFit is based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, and blends balance, strength, flexibility, and power in a fitness format. YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, accessible to individuals at any level of fitness. Barre Above Certification

Fitness Instructor Training

Do you have a passion for health, fitness, and helping others? Are you interested in learning about what it takes to be a fitness instructor? This twenty-hour Fitness Instructor training will help prepare you and will be followed by auditions to be an instructor at the Rec. Register at the Rec Member Services Desk by March 20th! Come learn about our Fitness Instructor Training and what it takes to be a fitness instructor! Informationals will be held in room 255 on Feb. 11th & 12th from 7-8pm.

CPR Classes

BLS for Healthcare Professionals

Class Description: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

Become a Certified Personal Trainer

Personal Training Certification Prep Course

Rec Sports will be offering our Personal Trainer Certification Prep Course during the Spring 2020 semester! This semester long course will help prepare participants to take the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) personal trainer exam. Course participants will receive a discount on the exam registration upon course completion!

  • FREE Informational Meeting:

  • Course meets Sunday from 4pm – 7pm in SRC 255 on the following dates:
    • Jan. 26 – Apr. 19
  • Cost: $125 Rec members; $150 non-members
