BTHO UTSA Indoor Cycle Distance Challenge

November 14 – 19

Attend any regularly scheduled indoor group cycle class during the week of November 14th and help us log our mileage to see if we can beat UTSA Rec cycle classes in highest total miles before the big game! Check the Group RecXercise schedule (on the Group RecXercise tab of this page or in the Fall 2016 Rec Sports Guide) to find out the days and times indoor cycle classes are offered. Cycle classes will be FREE during this week only; those with an Unlimited Group RecXercise Pass will get priority seating.

About Group RecXercise

Drop-in fitness classes. Purchase an individual class pass or unlimited pass at Member Services.

  • Individual Class Pass: $3. Good for admission to one class.
  • Unlimited Group RecXercise Pass: $70 Fall/Spring, $30 one summer session, or $50 entire summer.
    Good for any class for the entire semester. $10 off during first week of classes (spring and fall only)!

Specialty Classes

Description: This class is designed for the beginner Hip Hop dancer who would like to advance their ability. Every skill will be broken down into basic steps, body movements, and choreography for a well-rounded class! You will learn something new, have fun, and get a great workout.

Dates: Sept. 11 – Dec. 1

Meets: MON

Time: 8pm – 9pm

Description: This class is a beginning-level study of classical ballet. Class will focus on the basics of strength, body alignment, flexibility, and stage presence through performance of both barre and center combination work.

Description: Get fit, tone, and have fun at the barre with traditional muscle-sculpting barre choreography and exhilarating cardio burst, all while moving to upbeat energizing music.

Description: Advance your yoga practice with our most experienced, 200-hour yoga instructor. Practice will draw from multiple styles including Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashatanga. Inversion work and yoga wall included. Previous yoga experience is strongly recommended.

BootCamp is designed to take your fitness to the next level! Class will meet three days per week. Two days per week will be held outdoors with activities such as running, power-walking, plyometrics and cardiovascular drills, while the third day will be held inside and will be dedicated to resistance training.

Fitness Outreach Services

A nationally certified group exercise instructor or personal trainer will come to your residence hall, organizational meeting or department for a private class, special event or educational lecture.

Fill out the form below to request the fitness services you are interested in.

  • *We will do our best to schedule the requested instructor, but cannot guarantee.
  • • This form must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the requested date. • Yoga/Pilates Classes: Mats will not be provided. • Music system must be available at your facility. • Pricing for Services: $50.00 per session (additional instructor $25.00). • Private classes at the Rec require a fee for room rental.
