Rec Sports Facilities

Reservations

The Student Recreation Center, Read Building, G. Rollie White Annex, Disc Golf Course, Duncan Field, Simpson Drill Field, tennis courts, and East Campus fields are available for reservation by recognized student organizations and university departments and agencies. Requests for facility reservations may be made in 202 Student Recreation Center and should be submitted at least two weeks in advance. A rental fee may be charged for Department of Recreational Sports facilities. If your group is planning an activity, please inquire about facility availability well in advance. If you believe that you or your group might qualify
for a Rec Sports sponsorship to help subsidize the
cost of your event, please complete the
Sponsorship Application and fax with your
reservation request to 979-845-0838.

If your group or organization needs to apply for an
extension of credit for your facility reservations,
please complete this form.

These form must be completed at the same time as
the facility reservation form to receive consideration.

Court Reservations
Handball, racquetball, wallyball, and squash courts are available on an hourly basis free of charge to Rec Members. Reservations may be made one day in advance at the Equipment Etc. Desk in the Student Recreation Center or by calling Court Reservations at 845-4917.

Cardio Equipment Reservations
One Precor EFX, Quinton treadmill and one Stairmaster 4400PT can be reserved by signing up at the weight room desk for a 30 minute reservation. Reservations can be made for that day only and you must sign up in person.

Tournament Information & Programming Services
(TIPS) are offered by Rec Sports to help groups plan recreational activities. Assistance is available for scheduling tournaments, obtaining officials in season and/or sport supervisors, emergency medical technicians, procuring equipment, and preparing field areas (chalking fields, setting up goals, etc.). Requests for these services should be made a minimum of two weeks prior to an event and/or at the time the facility reservation is submitted. The TIPS information system is available at the Rec Center.
