Indoor Climbing Facility

Renting the Facility

TAMU affiliated and non-affiliated groups are welcome to rent the wall for their group activities. Birthday parties, Girl and Boy Scout groups, Corp Units and student organizations have all enjoyed the recreational and motivational benefits of a session at the climbing wall.

Renting the climbing wall is the perfect option for groups larger than 5 people that would like to climb together without becoming registered climbers. These private group sessions last from 2 ½ to 3 hours long and are normally set up when the wall is closed for business.

The prices are as follows:

TAMU Affiliated Groups         $15/person
Non-affiliated Groups            $18/person
Large Groups (+25 people)  $175/hr.
(minimum 2 hours)

Deposits
5 - 25 people $50
25+ people $100

Reservations for your group may be made by calling the TAMU Outdoors Coordinator at (979) 862-1999 or by downloading and filling out the reservation form and returning it to the Coordinator, Jason Kurten, at least 2 weeks before your tentative date. Once the Coordinator has verbally confirmed the date with you, you are required to leave a deposit to hold the date. The deposit is non-refundable but does apply to your final balance due on the day of the event.

On the day of your event, you will need to provide the indoor climbing facility with a completed and signed waiver on each climber. Legal guardians or parents are the only individuals who may sign for a climber under 18. The waiver can be downloaded here.
